Women’s team fighting spirit shines at AOFC Qualifications
The New Zealand Women’s Floorball National Team closed out their 2025 World Floorball Championship AOFC Qualifications on 24 March with an inspiring run of performances that showcased their grit and determination.
Their opening game against Thailand was an absolute nail-biter, with the Kiwis battling fiercely right to the final whistle before falling 2–3.
Against Japan, they faced a side with exceptional tactical play, precise passing, and strong ball control, finishing 1–5 in a hard-fought match.
The team roared back in style against India, delivering a commanding 13–2 victory.
In the final playoff against the Philippines, New Zealand showed true fighting spirit, coming from behind twice to level the score and push the match into overtime before the Philippines claimed a 5–4 win.
With every game, the team grew stronger and more connected, leaving the tournament with heads held high and eyes firmly on the future.
