Women’s U19 Squad named for Hong Kong AOFC Qualification Campaign
We are pleased to name our final Women’s Under-19 travelling squad for the 2027 Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation (AOFC) Qualification tournament in Hong Kong.
The tournament represents an important opportunity for New Zealand’s next generation of floorball athletes, with teams from Hong Kong, China, Australia, Singapore and Japan competing for a place at the 2027 Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships.
With only three qualification places available, the competition will provide a challenging test for the New Zealand side as they take on some of the strongest emerging teams from across the Asia Oceania region.
The final squad was selected following a training and selection process, with players assessed across a range of areas including performance, commitment, positional requirements and the overall balance needed to compete successfully at international level.
The selected athletes will now move into the next phase of preparation as they must work even harder towards the qualification tournament in Hong Kong.
For many players, the campaign represents the opportunity to wear the New Zealand fern on the international stage and test themselves against the best emerging young floorball talent in the region.
The Hong Kong qualification campaign marks another important step in the continued development of women’s floorball in New Zealand and provides a platform for young athletes to gain valuable international experience.
