Women’s national squad confirmed for AOFC Qualification in November

We are pleased to confirm the Women’s National Squad that will represent Aotearoa at the AOFC Qualification in Chonburi, Thailand, this November.

The final squad is made up of the players previously selected into the Women’s training squad, with the full training group now progressing together into the final national squad.

The squad has been working through a dedicated preparation programme, building gameplay, match fitness and team cohesion ahead of the tournament.

For the players, the opportunity marks the next step in representing New Zealand on the international floorball stage.

“This is an exciting milestone for the squad,” says Head Coach Jon To. “The players have shown commitment throughout the training process, and it is fantastic to see the entire training squad progress into the final national team. The hard work continues as we build towards Thailand.”

The team will travel to Chonburi, Thailand, in November, where they will compete in the AOFC Qualification against teams from across the Asia-Oceania region, including Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.

With a place at the Women’s World Floorball Championship 2027 on the line, the tournament will be highly competitive. Only four teams from the AOFC Qualification will qualify for the Women’s World Floorball Championships 2027, making every match an important step towards securing a place on the world stage.

We also want to acknowledge the coaches, support staff, teammates, whānau and wider floorball community who continue to support the players throughout their national team journey.
