FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Floorball New Zealand has today confirmed the travelling squad for the Women’s U19 national team set to compete in the Asia-Oceania qualification tournament for the 2026 Women’s World Floorball Championship.

The squad features a strong mix of returning players and new talent. Several athletes represented New Zealand at the Women’s World Floorball Championship 2024 in Lahti, Finland, while the majority are fresh faces making their debut on the international stage.

This January, the team will travel to Perth, Australia, to face Singapore, Japan, and Australia. Only three nations from the Asia-Oceania region will qualify for the World Floorball Championships, which will be held in Italy in May 2026.

Head coach Jane Bertschinger said the selection reflects both experience and potential.

“We’re proud to announce this squad, which shows the depth of talent coming through the sport in New Zealand. Our returning players bring valuable experience, while our debutants are eager to make their mark.”
