Women's U19 national training squad announced

We are pleased to announce the athletes selected for the U19 Women’s National Training Squad following a successful trial weekend held in April.

The trials saw a strong turnout of talented and committed young players from across the country. Coaches and selectors were impressed by the high level of skill, determination, and passion shown throughout the weekend.

The selected players will form the training squad for the upcoming Women's U19 World Floorball Championships campaign. This squad will take part in a series of training camps and development opportunities over the coming months, as the team builds towards the World Floorball Championships Qualifiers in the final quarter of this year.

The final travelling squad for the WFC Qualifiers will be named closer to the event, following further evaluation of performance, development, and commitment during the training phase.

“We saw some fantastic potential, and it’s clear that the future of women’s floorball in Aotearoa is bright," says Jane Bertschinger, Head Coach, Women's U19 national team. "This training squad represents a strong foundation to build from, and we’re excited to see how these players develop over the coming months.”
