The biggest Asia–Oceania world championship qualifier for floorball is coming to New Zealand — the Men’s World Floorball Championships 2026 AOFC Qualification.
This summer, from 13–19 January, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington becomes the beating heart of Asia–Oceania floorball as ten teams chase their shot at the world stage.

Floorball is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, and for the first time, New Zealand is hosting this week-long Asia-Oceania qualifier that decides who reaches the Men’s World Floorball Championships 2026 in Finland.
This isn’t an exhibition. This is qualification - where reputations are made. They fight for every goal, every point and every second on court.
Across seven days, Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Wellington will come alive with the kind of intensity usually reserved for global stadium sports.

The AOFC Qualification is the Asia–Oceania region’s pathway to the Men’s World Floorball Championships. Ten teams are split into two groups and battle through pool play. The top teams advance to the playoffs and only four teams will qualify for the Men’s World Floorball Championships in Finland in December.
