Floorball New Zealand is proud to announce the selection of the Men’s National Team for the upcoming Men’s World Floorball Championships 2026 Asia-Oceania Qualification (AOFC), set to take place in January 2026 in Wellington.
The 20-player squad represents the best of New Zealand’s rapidly developing floorball talent, with athletes drawn from clubs across the country. The team will compete for a coveted place in the World Championships and will have the rare opportunity to do so in front of a home crowd from 13 to 19 January 2026.
“We’re thrilled with the depth and balance of this squad,” says Christian Bertschinger, Head Coach of the New Zealand Men’s Floorball Team. “Selection was highly competitive this year, reflecting how far the sport has come in New Zealand. We’ve brought together a mix of experienced international players and emerging young talent, all of whom are are passionate, hardworking, and ready to perform at their best on home soil.”
The team will continue its preparation over the coming months, with training camps and warm-up matches leading into the AOFC Qualification Tournament.
