Rob Campbell Appointed Team Manager for New Zealand Men’s Floorball Team
Floorball New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Campbell as Team Manager for the New Zealand Men’s National Team, ahead of the Men’s World Floorball Championship 2026 Asia-Oceania Qualifications being held in Wellington, between 13 and 19 January 2026.
Rob brings more than a decade of experience supporting New Zealand floorball teams at international tournaments. and is well-placed to guide the team through its next major campaign.
A long-time contributor to the sport, Rob previously served as Chairperson of Floorball New Zealand, where he worked to strengthen the organisation’s governance, support pathways, and national coordination. He also played a key role in organising several international qualification tournaments, including the 2022 U19 Men’s campaign.
“I’m deeply committed to seeing New Zealand teams thrive on the international stage,” Rob says. “This is an exciting time for floorball in Aotearoa, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Christian (Bertschinger) and our floorball athletes to help them reach their full potential.”
The New Zealand Men’s team has been preparing since May 2025 for the Asia-Oceania qualification tournament, where ten teams from China, Hong Kong (China), Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Solomons Island and New Zealand, will compete for four spots at the 2026 Men’s World Floorball Championships to be played in Finland at the end of 2026.
